At Ziptrek Whistler, adventure and community go hand in hand. From soaring through ancient rainforest canopies to welcoming guests from all over the world, we’re constantly reminded how lucky we are to call Whistler home and how important it is to give back to the people and causes that make this place so special.
This year, we continued our commitment to support local and environmental organizations through our Give Back initiatives, which are funded by our 10% of GoPro and merchandise purchases as well as direct donations.
Below, we’re excited to share highlights from recent partnerships and how, together with our guests, we’re helping support causes that matter.

One of the longest-standing initiatives we’re proud to support is AWARE Whistler, a local Whistler organization focused on sustainable practices and community education around environmental stewardship. Their work raises awareness about how every individual and business can take meaningful steps toward protecting the natural world we all enjoy.
By directing a portion of our GoPro and Merchandise funds to AWARE, we hope to help amplify their efforts in Whistler and the Sea to Sky region, from workshops to community events that inspire more people to take sustainable action.
Another partner close to our hearts is Protect Our Winters (POW) Canada, an organization that unites outdoor enthusiasts around climate advocacy. With a shared love of snowy winters, mountain forests, and crisp alpine air, POW Canada channels the voices of skiers, snowboarders, hikers, and zippers into meaningful climate policy change.
Through our "Give Back Friday" promotion offering 20% off Ziptrek bookings, with a 10% of proceeds donated to POW Canada, we were thrilled to support their work to protect the environments we explore and enjoy.
Whether it’s educating voters, engaging policymakers, or mobilizing outdoor communities, their mission aligns with our belief that outdoor adventure and climate action go hand in hand.

We were thrilled to spend time in the treetops with Zero Ceiling, an inspiring Whistler-based organization dedicated to empowering youth through education, mentorship, and community connection. Their programs support young people in discovering their strengths, building confidence, and creating pathways toward meaningful futures.
In November, we had the chance to welcome the Zero Ceiling team out on tour, and it was an absolute highlight. More importantly, we were proud to contribute over $3,000 in support of the youth participating in their programs.
Zero Ceiling’s vision of a community where everyone belongs and has the chance to succeed deeply resonates with us. Creating sustainable communities means investing in people, and we’re grateful to stand alongside organizations like Zero Ceiling that are building a stronger, more inclusive future here in the Sea to Sky.
We’re proud to continue our ongoing support of the Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS), an organization that plays a vital role in caring for the Whistler community through inclusive, compassionate, and essential services.
This past quarter marked a special milestone, with our largest quarterly donation to date, $3,020.87, and it was a pleasure to visit the WCSS space and connect with their incredible team in person.
WCSS provides a wide range of services that strengthen community wellbeing, from food security and counselling to outreach and crisis support. Their work ensures people have access to the care, resources, and connection they need when they need it most.

Here at Ziptrek Whistler, we don’t just want to offer exciting zipline tours; we want to be part of a community that supports each other and the environment. Whistler’s ecosystems and its people are what make experiences like ziplining above the Fitzsimmons Valley so magical. Supporting local organizations that protect and strengthen those ecosystems and communities feels like the right thing to do.
We’re grateful to our guests! Your participation in GoPro rentals and merchandise purchases helps make these donations possible. Every zip, every photo, and every connection contributes to something larger than any one adventure.
