Meet the 2018 Winter Brand Ambassadors

As evident by this week's epic snowfall winter is certainly in full swing. That means it's time for us to introduce you to our newest brand ambassadors!

You may already be familiar with some of their friendly faces, as each one of our brand ambassadors are also guides on course. These talented double agents will be capturing the special moments that make our tours so memorable and unique. THÉO 

I'm Théo and I was born and raised in the beautiful southern French Alps and I'm very proud of that, but I'm not about to leave the BC Coast Mountains. I've only lived in Whistler since early June 2017 yet every day I fall more and more in love with this place. British Columbia has always interested me for its mountains and wilderness, and Whistler seemed a perfect fit with plenty of climbing, hiking and mountain biking to be done in the summer and so much snow in the winter, this place is incredible for powder. I've skied all my life and never have I had so much powder in just a few days. What's great here is that even when I'm working, I'm still outdoors all day, walking around the course and sharing great moments with guests and I have to say that's the best office I've ever had!

Mate 

Hi, my name is Mate. I'm from the small but beautiful country of sLOVEnia but I found my home right here in Whistler with Ziptrek. I've only been in Whistler for 4 months but it still surprises me every single day. This town is like no other that I've ever been to! I didn't know that I will end up in Whistler but I'm sure glad now that I did!

My favourite thing to do here is exploring nature. It is unbelievable and breathtaking no matter which path you will take you will find yourself a better connection than in any coffee shop! And that is why I love to be a Ziprek guide! I don't know how to describe my job but I can show it to you. So book your tour with me and I'll show you around my office and you will experience yourself what I'm talking about. Otherwise, I'll try to have my camera ready for every magnificent moment that is happening with us on the daily base.

KAT 

I'm from northern England where there isn't much in the way of skiing, and after two winters in the Alps I decided it was time to branch out. I'd skied in Banff on holiday but decided it was too cold to spend a whole winter there, and Whistler seemed the obvious choice considering how much people seemed to fall in love with it. I started work for Ziptrek in the summer of 2016 as I wanted a job that had a bit more excitement and allowed me to work outdoors. I'd also never experienced a Canadian summer so it opened up the possibility to explore all Whistler and BC had to offer.

I love working for Ziptrek as it affords me the opportunity to meet people from all countries and backgrounds, and it's also provided me with some fantastic new friendships.
